We are lucky to be able to support a number of bands:

The Senior Band

Brass Roots - for developing players (but with no age limits)

Brass Rootlets - for those who have just started playing.

The Senior Band presents the most challenges for our brass players and has a lively range of engagements and matching repertoire.  Senior players have a great range of backgrounds and ages but are united by our enjoyment of bands and our ambition to improve.

Brass Roots has players drawn primarily from local primary and high schools - but we have adults amongst its members as well.  If you have started playing brass in the last couple of years and want to improve, this is the band for you.  Brass Roots have their own engagements and, subject to review by our Musical Director, players regularly progress to the Senior Band.

Brass Rootlets is our most recently founded band - recognising that some players are very new to brass but can still get great enjoyment from public performance, we created Brass Rootlets.  Typically players progress to Brass Roots.
